Hamza Damra is a Palestinian dancer, choreographer, and multidisciplinary artist based in France since 2018. He is the co-founder of Stereo48 Dance Company, where he develops a physical language that merges movement, sound, and visual aesthetics to explore themes of identity, resilience, displacement, and transformation.
Coming from a background rooted in hip-hop and contemporary dance, Hamza has collaborated with international choreographers and companies across Europe and the Middle East. His performance work includes productions with Cie NGC 25, Yaa! Samar Dance Theatre, Les Ballets C de la B, and the Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier. He has performed in works by artists such as Hervé Maigret, Ahmad Ayed, Farah Saleh, Yazan Iwedat, and Johanne Faye.
Alongside his work as a performer, he creates choreographic projects including Me & I (2021), Until Spring (2017), and the ongoing outdoor performance Inbox. He is also the creator of the project Anatomy of Freedom, an interdisciplinary work combining dance, music, and visual elements to question freedom and personal transformation.
Hamza also works as a musician under the name C6PERSONAL, composing sound landscapes that interact with his choreographic practice. His artistic research often connects dance with music creation, graphic design, and fashion design, forming a multidisciplinary approach to performance and visual storytelling.
Hamza Damra est un danseur, chorégraphe et artiste multidisciplinaire palestinien installé en France depuis 2018. Cofondateur de la compagnie Stereo48 Dance, il y développe un langage corporel qui fusionne mouvement, son et esthétique visuelle pour explorer les thèmes de l’identité, de la résilience, du déracinement et de la transformation.
Issu du hip-hop et de la danse contemporaine, Hamza a collaboré avec des chorégraphes et des compagnies internationales en Europe et au Moyen-Orient. Il a notamment travaillé avec la Cie NGC 25, Yaa! Samar Dance Theatre, Les Ballets C de la B, l’Opéra et l’Orchestre National de Montpellier. Il a également dansé dans des œuvres d’artistes tels que Hervé Maigret, Ahmad Ayed, Farah Saleh, Yazan Iwedat et Johanne Faye.
Parallèlement à son travail d’interprète, il crée des projets chorégraphiques tels que Me & I (2021), Until Spring (2017) et la performance en plein Air Inbox (toujours diffusé à ce jour). Il est également le créateur du projet Anatomy of Freedom, une œuvre interdisciplinaire mêlant danse, musique et éléments visuels pour interroger la liberté et la transformation personnelle.
Hamza travaille aussi comme musicien sous le nom de C6PERSONAL, composant des paysages sonores qui interagissent avec sa pratique chorégraphique. Sa recherche artistique associe souvent la danse à la création musicale, au graphisme et à la mode, formant ainsi une approche multidisciplinaire de la performance et du récit visuel.
